Trisha Leigh Shufelt is an award-winning confessional poet and artist. Her books are available online and featured in several poetry anthologies. Her poetry book, Ghosts of Nevermore-Poetry, Prose, and Short Stories Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe was the winner of a 2023 Saturday Visiter Award from the Poe House & Museum of Baltimore, MD. Her forthcoming book of poetry Thundering on the Pink is slated for a Spring 2026 release from Kelsay Books. What kind of poetry do you write?

Confessional, romantic, descriptive, sometimes gothic. I write about my experiences with anxiety, depression, addiction, and life in general. I often include nature elements in my writing.

Tell me about your art.

I'm a self-taught mixed-media artist. I work in a variety of mediums such as clay, watercolor, acrylic, ink, fabric, and found materials.

Who are some of your biggest influences as writer?

Edgar Allan Poe, Sylvia Plath, Virginia Woolf, Keates, Yeats, Rossetti, and more. I am a voracious poetry reader and love many past and present poets. I am especially fond of Indie Poetry.

How can I purchase your books and decks?

All of my books are available wherever online books are sold. You can click the Explore Now button on my site to be taken to my Amazon page. My decks can also be purchased online or through hundreds of brick & mortar stores and metaphysical shops. Do you offer personal Tarot or Oracle card readings?

I do not offer personal readings, nor do I plan to in the future. If someone contacts you to offer a personal reading, saying they are me, it is a fake account.
